Mechanical Requirements
It is preferred that advertising be furnished on disk. Proofs
required with disks.
Media Accepted: MAC format - CD or DVD
Programs Accepted
Quark XPress 6 (Please save ad as a document and not as a Quark eps),
Adobe Illustrator CS or older, Freehand 10 or older, Adobe Photoshop CT or older, PDF. PRESS OPTIMIZED (not print or screen) All images must be CMYK not RGB. Make sure you include all fonts and support files (tiff and eps)
Important Note: If the ad you are supplying is an embedded file (i.e., .eps nested in FreeHand), please open the whole ad in Photoshop CT or older and save as a CMYK TIFF or EPS at not less than 300dpi.
Electronic Photos
300 dpi CMYK TIFF format — No RGB or extra CMYK channels. Image
must be within (plus or minus) 20% of final usage size.
Fonts
Adobe Post Script fonts only (please be sure to supply both printer and
screen fonts) Special fonts for logos, etc., should be converted to
outline in Illustrator or Freehand.
Camera Ready
Clean, sharp black line artwork on white background, actual size or larger.
Business cards, letterheads, envelopes, etc. that are engraved, thermographed
(raised printing), or printed in any color ink than black or red are not acceptable.
Xerox or copy machine copies are not acceptable. Final reproduction
will depend upon the quality of material furnished.
